A workspace is a self-contained environment for your documents, clients, and team. Everything you create in Docsiv lives inside a workspace: documents, client records, team members, and branding settings are all scoped to that workspace. You can belong to multiple workspaces and switch between them at any time. Billing and plans are managed per workspace, so each workspace has its own subscription.
During onboarding, Docsiv automatically creates your first workspace. You only need to follow the creation steps below when adding a second or additional workspace.

Create a workspace

1

Open the workspace switcher

Click your workspace name in the sidebar, then select All workspaces — or navigate directly to app.docsiv.com/workspaces.
2

Click New workspace

On the workspaces page, click the New workspace button in the top right.
3

Fill in workspace details

Complete the required fields:
  • Company name — The display name for this workspace.
  • Workspace handle — A unique, URL-safe identifier (lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only). For example, acme-agency.
  • Contact email — A contact email address for this workspace. This is required.
You can also set optional fields:
  • Logo — Upload a PNG or JPEG (at least 400×400 px, up to 10 MB).
  • Tagline — A short line that appears in the client portal.
  • Website, phone, social links — Contact and social information surfaced to clients.
  • Terms and privacy URLs — Linked in the client portal footer.
  • Default currency and language — Applied to new documents by default.
The workspace handle appears in internal URLs. Once set, it cannot be changed, so choose something that reflects your agency or the client relationship.
4

Invite team members (optional)

After the workspace is created, you can invite teammates by email and assign each a role:
  • Admin — Full access to documents, clients, settings, and billing.
  • Member — Can create and edit documents and manage clients.
You can skip this step and invite people later from Dashboard → Team.
5

Go to your new workspace

Click Skip & go to workspace or Send invites & go to workspace. Docsiv sets the new workspace as active and takes you to the Documents page.

Switch between workspaces

To switch to a different workspace, open app.docsiv.com/workspaces and click the workspace card you want to activate. You can also use the workspace name in the sidebar to jump to the workspaces list.
Switching workspaces updates your active session. All pages (documents, clients, settings) then reflect the workspace you switched into.

Workspace settings

To edit a workspace’s name, branding, team, or billing, switch to that workspace first, then open Settings → Workspace from the sidebar. From workspace settings you can update:
  • Name and handle — The display name. The handle is set at creation and cannot be changed.
  • Logo and branding — Logo, tagline, colors, and contact details shown in the client portal.
  • Team — Invite new members, change roles, or remove people.
  • Billing — Manage your subscription plan for this workspace.
Workspace settings apply only to the currently active workspace. Make sure you’ve switched to the correct workspace before making changes.

Delete or leave a workspace

To leave a workspace, go to Settings → Workspace and scroll to the danger zone. If you are the only Admin, you must either transfer ownership to another member or delete the workspace.
Deleting a workspace permanently removes all documents, clients, and settings associated with it. This action cannot be undone.
